ANNOUNCING 2011-2012 FVSSN Sibshops! That's the theme of our Sibshops this year. Siblings of children with disabilities are extraordinary. They are role models to their siblings, their classmates, their friends and their community. They are advocates for themselves and often for people with disabilities. They are caregivers. Even the very youngest often look out for their vulnerable siblings at home, on the playground or in the aisles of the grocery. It is all part of their unique world, their unique experience. Through tons of lively, sib-focused fun activities at Sibshops, kids ages 6-12 will get the chance to understand their world more, appreciate their incredible role as siblings better, and celebrate it all with lots of new friends. The schedule includes: Sibshop on the Farm --Sat., September 10--12:30-4:00 pm--Mulberry Lane Farm Views from Our World--Sat., October 8--10 am - 2 pm--Oshkosh YMCA Views from Our World--Sat., October 22--10 am - 2 pm--CP Center-Green Bay S.P.A. Sibshop for girls/moms--Sat., November 19--10 am - 2 pm--Gill Tech - Appleton Our Mysterious World--Sat. December 17--1 pm - 4 pm--Castle Museum - Appleton Our World Together--Sat. January 7--10am-2pm--Boys & Girls Club - Appleton Super Sibs Save the World--Sat. February 18--1 pm-4 pm-- Building for Kids-Appleton H.U.L.K. Sibshop for boys/dads--Sat.
